Why are vehicle checks important in the healthcare industry?

Your needs don’t just exist during the day, so neither does our care! Support during the night can be vital, especially if you or your loved one has more complex health needs.
Our care team can undertake overnight visits to be there and offer any assistance that you might need throughout the night.
This list is not extensive.
Getting to and from the toilet can be more difficult in the dark, or when you have recently woken up.
Our night care services mean that your carer will be awake and ready to support you should you need to go to the bathroom.
Alternatively, you may have continence aids in place. While these may mean that you do not need to physically go to the bathroom, you may need them changed or adjusted throughout the night for your comfort and hygiene.
Your Healthcare Assistant will be fully trained in changing pads or catheter bags, so you can get back to sleep quickly.
Please note that our Healthcare Assistants are trained in catheter care, which includes the changing of catheter bags and general daily care. This does not include the removal or insertion of catheters.
For clients with reduced mobility, frequent repositioning may be essential. This can greatly improve skin integrity and prevent pressure sores from forming. The frequency of repositioning will be documented in your care plan, and your Healthcare Assistant will include any instances of repositioning within their care notes.
Your medication can be vital for your recovery or maintenance. We can support you with this through reminders, or actively helping to prepare and administer prescribed medication.
Please note that we can only assist with prescribed medication, where we have a copy of the prescription. We cannot assist with new medications that have yet to be uploaded onto our system, or over the counter medications.
With a waking night package, Healthcare Assistants will monitor, check, and record your saturation levels throughout the night.
If you have oxygen prescribed as part of your treatment, this can then be given based on your saturation levels, as directed by your prescription and care plan.
Staying hydrated is vital for health, especially in warmer weather. Our Healthcare Assistants can help you to remain hydrate, even throughout the night. This can be especially important if mobility difficulties prevent you from getting and consuming a drink on your own.
